What is Naturewalk?
Naturewalk is a international mountain resort and agricultural lifestyle community located in the Central Pacific area of Costa Rica. What began as a forested teak lot subdivision has in the space of three years, grown into a master planned community that encompasses 1200 acres.

Naturewalk is located in a beautiful inland valley 10 miles east of Jaco. The google earth coordinates to locate Naturewalk are:

How do I get to Naturewalk?
Naturewalk is at the crossroads of a network of inland roads. There are five different access points to Naturewalk depending on where you are coming from. There are three access points along a 30 mile inland corridor from the Pacific Ocean Highway and one route through the mountains directly to San Jose. An accompanying map shows these access points.
What does the Naturewalk master plan include?
Naturewalk continues to refine and expand its master plan and contains a number of residential subdivisions. It is intended for Naturewalk to become a fully functioning international resort community.
Within the community is a town center plan with commercial and tourist activities, a craft industry center with furniture and natural organic products, and tourist-serving attractions, such as the coffee and pineapple plantation tours and the vanilla and spice farms.
A number of hotels of different themes and occupancies are planned. Further into the future an agricultural mountain challenge golf course and a country club facility are being planned for Naturewalk.
What activities can I expect at Naturewalk?
Naturewalk will offer a full slate of activities for those who enjoy an active lifestyle. The plan includes an adventure center with horseback riding, equestrian, trekking, bird and animal watching, tubing, paddle board rafting, canoeing, kayaking, electric ATV riding, mountain biking (including road trips, single track, pump track and skills track), waterfall rappelling, and canopy rides.
Other types of activities include organic gardening, cooking school and craft making. You may also want to volunteer at some of the local villages for language instruction, swimming instruction and other classes designed to help the local population.
What type of investments do you offer at Naturewalk?
Naturewalk has a number of active agricultural subdivisions in different areas of the property and parcels in different sizes and prices are available to suit the investment criteria of the buyer.
Naturewalk sells both to clients that are buying strictly for investment and to clients that plan to live, in the short to medium term, at Naturewalk. In addition, Naturewalk has selected project development investment opportunities in the areas of hotels and tourist-serving businesses, which are offered on an individualized basis.
What is Naturewalk's Dual Investment Concept?
Naturewalk combines use of the property for resort living while putting the property into active agricultural use.
Agricultural returns are available before, during and after you build on the property. You can choose your timing to build or leave the lot solely in Agricultural use. Agricultural returns vary depending on the type of crops grown with some more suitable for medium capital growth and others for yearly cash flows.
What are these lots and parcels suitable for?
They are suitable for mountain resort living such as building a home and occupying it for part or all of the year.
Your home can also be put into resort rental when you are not at the property and can be professionally maintained by the Naturewalk Rental Management Company.
The lots are also suitable for growing agricultural crops on a year round basis with proper irrigation for the dry months.
Who looks after the crops?
You can hire the Naturewalk Farming Company to grow your crops on a professional basis. Farming contracts are different depending on the crops grown, but generally, Naturewalk contracts for a percentage of the crop in return for growing and selling the crop.
What types of customers are purchasing at Naturewalk?
We have an international variety of people buying at Naturewalk. By nationality, roughly 55% are from the United States, 30% are from Canada and 15% are from Europe or of european origin living in other areas of the world.
By category of use, roughly 60% intend to build in the short to medium term, 30% have some consideration to build in the medium to long term but want to remain flexible, and approximately 10% are purchasing for investment only.
May people in the first category intend to remain active and a significant number are considering employment or to invest in businesses at Naturewalk.
If I decide to build a home at Naturewalk, who can build it for me?
Naturewalk has a wide variety of home offers starting at small "lock and leave" resort homes to large custom homes. We also have. Lindal selection of pre-engineered homes which are pre-cut and shipped in containers to our site. You are not required to use Naturewalk to build your home and can select also from local builders.
Will Naturewalk have local hotels for my guests to stay in when they visit?
Yes, In addition to lodging for visitors, we have a very active tourist component planned for Naturewalk.
There will be two hotels planned for Naturewalk 3. The Tent Hotel and the Jungle Hotel will cater to the adventure experience lover.
In the area of the town center the Pineapple Plantation Hotel will take a hilltop prominent position with a number of bungalows bordering the coffee and pineapple plantations. A full fledged cooking school is planned for this hotel.
In addition, a number of other smaller camp, lodge and bed & breakfast facilities are planned for different parts of Naturewalk.
Is golf in the mix for Naturewalk?
An Adventure Challenge par 3 course is under active consideration at Naturewalk 3 and planning studies will commence shortly. In a later stage, a full agriculturally themed, 18 hole mountain course is planned for Naturewalk 2.
What does the Naturewalk Adventure Center consist of?
The Naturewalk Adventure Center is a multi amenity activity center which takes advantage of Naturewalk’s mountain location and proximity to Carara National Park and Reserve and the Tulin River and its tributaries.
There are a number of first stage activities which we are scheduling to open in December 2013. These include the water sports such as river rafting, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle-boarding and tubing, horseback and multi day trail rides.
As for mountain biking the first stage will include pump track and facilities, public riding routes, day trekking and multi day excursions into the Tulin River corridor and the Carara National Park and Reserve.
